Harry is a SUNY Oswego graduate in Architectural Design, including Master’s course work at Syracuse University.

Following his Dryden High School education, he served his country in the United States Army, a Military Police Officer while in Korea. Born on Abraham Lincoln’s birthday, Harry was 82, the son of the late James and Alice Snyder Hartman of the Harford/Dryden area. Gordon Brown, Class of 1955 is making the trip from Clayton, North Carolina and hopes he will have classmates attending the banquet.Ī happy family! Bob and Shirley Randolph of Homer enjoy Friday night dinners at the American Legion. The Class of 1968 will attend the Alumni Banquet and on Sunday afternoon from 1-3 they will meet at the American Legion. Judi Hess and Jeff Parker are the organizers. Folks who attend the Alumni Banquet are welcome to come to the Legion following the banquet in the High School. The Class of 1978 will hold their 45 th Class Reunion at the American Legion with a dinner, (prepared by the Auxiliary) this Saturday June 24 th. Plans right now are a luncheon at the Presbyterian Church, with more to come. The Class of 1961 will celebrate their 80 th Birthdays on August 26 th. Pat Parker Hines Willis, Grace Homer Stone and Mary Fitch Tamm are coordinating the reunion. They will also attend the Alumni Banquet. The Class of 1958 will gather for their 65 th Class Reunion on Saturday, starting with a light luncheon at the Methodist Church. Meet Valedictorian Audrey Jasper and Salutatorian John Forrest! Marathon is proud of our young graduates. Photos of the Senior Class members were published in the Cortland Standard and now their faces and first names have been placed on “yard signs” that have been put on the Village Green, for all to see. We bet that graduation cards are sold out! Graduation cards for High School Seniors are in demand. Next fall these youngsters will be in the Village at the High School and not on the “hill”. Punch and cake were part of the celebration. That is the way it will be for the next few weeks.įamilies with sixth graders enjoyed a Sixth Grade Graduation at Appleby Elementary School on Tuesday evening. Next week, the Café will be open to 9 p.m., for the dinner hour, Wednesday through Friday.

Reilly’s will not be open for dinner this Friday because Scott’s late Father, Coach Mike Reilly will be inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame that evening, and Scott will be accepting on behalf of the family. Things are sort of more normal but the “buzz” is really all about the events surrounding our school: Athletic Hall of Fame ceremony, Alumni reunions, 5-K Run, the Alumni Banquet (125 attending) and graduation. Having Reilly’s Café open and in business has livened up Main Street too. There are more people on the streets, many are young people who have finished their tests, while others were scurrying back to school for their regents tests. There is a buzz in the air, our downtown feels different! Something is happening.
